Hi Hank . . .
I had trouble seeing the picture of your new wallet back so I printed out a copy. I can see it a little better now but it is still fuzzy and not clear. HOWEVER, I can see the buck and initials quite clearly and they are certainly well done.
I just checked Al Stohlman's TOP 20 book and boy, that particular pattern sure requires a lot of cutting and carving. Good work!
After seeing Michael's Dala Horse, I decided to find a design (on the Web, of course) and have cut and stamped the horse and it's many decorative designs. I plan to work on the border today and start painting this weekend.
I am making this as a picture to send to my young Great Grandson to hang on his bedroom wall. I will post it upon completion.
This particular piece of leather has two holes in it and one rather rough spot. One hole is where the eye is located. The other is easily seen beside the right front leg. I am presently thinking I might cut out a flower (blossom, stem, and leaves) and glue it over the hole as a sort of overlay. Still thinking about it!
Best wishes and have a good holiday,
Stan
