    Those pictures aren't too good.  As far as the curves on the bevelers, you're wanting enough of a curve to help get around the curves easier,,, but not so curved that they are only touching on the two corner points.  Most of mine have a curve that is about the same arc as a half dollar piece.  Once you get used to using them, you'll find yourself using them more & more.   Personally I use 3 different widths, about 3/8"  1/4"  5/32" aprox. most of the time.    I also have a larger one that I find very handy, it's about 9/16" wide.
