Welcome to the world of leather, Bob. I wish my first wallet had turned
out that well. But, then, I didn't have this group to help me back then
(1952).
I'm wondering if you made this from a kit with pre-punched round holes?
If so, that's probably your biggest problem with the stitching not
being uniform. Even so, you can improve it by always doing each stitch
the exact same way. I also find that after going through one hole with
the first needle, if I pull the thread down while inserting the second
needle and while pulling the thread through, it helps my stitches to all
look the same.
Those are some tips that someone else (or maybe several someone elses)
on this list gave me.
