I've never used DS tape to hold the pieces together.  I've used contact or rubber cement.  You asked for a source for double sided tape, and I have bought double sided tape from office supplies to use in our embroidery business.  Whether it is strong enough for leather or not, I have no idea.  But it's only a few bucks to try it.

Hi Tom So, are you saying you dont know of any in the leather industry in USA that are using a special double sided tape for leather ? And that I should go to Europe and bring it back here ? Office depot or any other office supply store would not have the one Im talking about. I do have one small problem here in USA, I am looking for a double sided tape to use to glue the leather before sewing it. In Europe I got them at my supplier in boxes. Its about 5-6 mm (1/4 inch) 60-100 yard. Anybody know of this one, and can tell me where to get it ? Anne
