Tandy had a bunch of the different moccasin patterns.  I think I have about 5 styles.  You can find them listed on EBay from time to time.

So who has the best patterns for them.  I've never made a pair but it sounds like fun.

Dale I make lots of Moccasins and I have worn the deer ( tends to be a bit thin ans wears fast), Deer tanned Cow hide On the sole for a yr now wearing out doors in OR rain and shine not showing wear at all, Elk is showing a little wear as is the suede. Water Buffalo is showing no wear at all either. If you can find somewhere that sells supplies for shoes too there are different thickness's of a rubber sole you can get can not remember the name it starts with a V maybe someone else knows it. But you cut it out same as the insole piece then you can glue or sew it to the sole I have had a few order it that way too an no wear showing for them at all.I have made the slipper styles the low ankle boots, mid calf as well as knew high moccasins

I finally made a pair of mocs I can wear.  My shoe size is 10-1/2, so I

first made the size 11 pattern but it was waaaaaaaay too small for me.

They largest size in the pattern pak is 12, but I was sure it would

still be too small because I was lining them with sheep's wool.  So I

traced the size 12 pattern onto a sheet of paper, then inside that

tracing I traced a size 11.  Using a pair of dividers, I inscribed a

series of dots all around that pattern the same distance from the size

12 as the size 12 was from the size 11 and after connecting the dots I

called it size 13.

They are a bit snug, but comfortable.  If I make another pair, they will

be a hair larger still.

My experience with soft mocs in the past has been that they develop a

hole on the bottom verrrrrrry quickly, so I stitched some hard leather

soles to the bottom.  I cut them from a side of approx. 12-oz veg-tan

that I have had lots of problems with for projects with carving.  I made

the stitching grooves extra deep to protect the thread from wear, then I

cut strips from the same leather the uppers were cut from to use as laces.
