RE: [flasah] Inside of leather

We also make dog collars and belts.

I've used 2 methods.  1 - burnish the flash side with Gum Trag  and 2 - Rub Mink Oil Paste into the flesh side really well.  Be sure to use the paste and not the actual oil.  The oil can darken the leather too much, at least for my tastes <g>

Subject: [flasah] Inside of leather

Hello everyone thank you for letting me join your group. I admire everyone's work. There is so much talent in this group!!! I just started partaking in leather and I have a question. I am doing leather dog collars and belts. How do I smooth the inside of the collars/belts without sewing a liner but looking as smooth? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Julie
