Re: [flasah] Still alive?

Dale- I too am learning the ropes- and hand stitching is what I do on most items- I can carry it with me and it is easy to do in the truck between calls (Day job as a paramedic on the Boo-Boo box).

Recently I had a commission for a canvas/leather and denim bag where a sewing machine was needed- and as luck would have it- one fell in my lap from a fellow near me going out of business (retiring sailmaker). So it was an opportunity to move on something to speed up production.

Peter- I have moved to Leatherworker.net simply as Yahoo is becoming less friendly and I can search the forums for answers without bothering many folks while learning. All the questions have already been asked that I have had so far... and its awesome to search the archives and have pictures and data and answers and opinions/flavors ALL in one place

Except for the curious adventure today of the edges mushrooming on EVERYthing I have slicked! Curiouser and Curiouser!

Opel said a few months ago that most leatherworkers use facebook now rather than groups like this.
So some of us just keep a watch on what is posted.
