You are off to a good start Dale, I am still trying to perfect this type of pattern, right tools do make a difference, I still need one shader.

I probably should have waited until I had practiced a little more before
I did it, but I did that Oak Leaf pattern on a wallet back. The
photocarve didn't call for a background tool, but I used one anyway to
cover up some mistakes... unfortunately I couldn't cover 'em all up.
I'll probably dye all the background and the outer areas just to cover
up the discoloration in one corner (which didn't show up until I cased
the leather with hot water).

Without any lace, I've been thinking about stitching it, but I'm afraid
those holes are just too big for stitching.
