Yes, and I will do that if I can't find any locally. It would be better
to buy it locally to avoid the hassle of customs, but if I have to order
it from USA, I will. I am going tomorrow to the area of town where they
sell leather. I am going to buy a few sides of tooling leather and now
that I know what to ask for maybe I can find lace as well.

My wife is really crazy about that Tom Thumb purse, so I'll probably be
cutting some more of them out of the side I'm buying... which reminds me
of another question I was wanting to ask: Is it possible to hand-stitch
the zipper into the gusset? I've never tried hand-stitching fabric to
leather before.
